when is the complete version? so excited to try this

We don’t have a set date yet, however, we plan to resume development this summer.

Thank you for playing and we are happy that our game piqued your interest!

I really enjoyed playing the demo, took me 18 minutes to complete it. I liked the idea of having to search for VHS tapes to unveil clues and bits of the story. I also like the low poly style combined with the voice acting. Going back and forth in time reminded me of The Silent Age, I loved that game and was wondering if there would be another one with the same mechanic, glad I found yours. I hope you get to finish it. Thank you!

Thank you for playing!

We’re glad that our game made you think back to the Silent Age game and that you enjoyed the game overall!

Thank you!

Ahhhhhh I loved the demo. Waiting for full version!!

This game is verry goooooooood!!!!!

Thank you so much!

We are thrilled that you liked it so much! :D

That was awesome, took me about 15 minutes to finish!

Thank you! We’re glad you liked it!

And thanks for saying your time, it helps us a lot!

Wow. I love this. Yeah maybe i wasn´t the smartest just because i needed near to 30 mInutes so solve this but i loved it. I really wish this is going to get a real full game with hours of content. omg i really feel it in me.

But something i confused me was the controls menu. Somehow it kept beeing displayed even if i have already closed the Pause menu. But thats just a small bug i experienced

(i opened the Puase Menu by ESC key, clicked on controls, and used ESC another time for closing)

But after all its a fantastic small demo.

Great Job

Oh thank you! The UI had a bit of a rushed implementation for this slice, I'll admit. That bug has been noted.

We'll most likely resume development this summer, so if a better version does come out, you'll find it here :)

Thank you! And thank you for the feedback!

If we continue working on this game in the summer the UI will be improved :D

its a good game

Thank you!

Thanks :D

(+2)

awwwww is so fun but end very fast

(+2)

Thanks, we’re glad you liked it!

Yeah, the ending was pretty abrupt, but that’s because we had a schedule to meet. However, we are seriously thinking about updating the game when we have more free time.

So in the future, you can expect a “longer experience” :D

I completed the demo in around 13 minutes but it was so fun for those minutes. If you guys ever do complete the game I am going to buy it right away, if you want a fun demo to play this is it.

Hey thanks, we appreciate it!

Thanks! We’re glad you liked it!

it took me a few hours to find the code and is till didnt find it

Thank You for your feedback!

We will take that into account when we continue development.

If you had any other problems, feel free to tell us. It will help us make the game better :D

This was a really fun game concept. I would love to play the full game. Great idea!

(+3)

Thank you, we’re glad you liked the concept. We are planning to continue development in our free time, unfortunately right now, we have a lot of university work.

But when we get more free time we will continue development!

this was fun, im intersted to see the finished game

Thanks, we are glad you had fun! We are planning on updating the game when we have free time, we hope to meet your expectations.

The idea of going back and forth between your memories and your present is beautiful. also, the fact that you need to find clues in order for you to find your parents adds depth and mystery to the plot itself (hats down for that)

But, It kinda lacks of feels. for me, the atmosphere is quite there but it needs a little bit of a push. maybe some background music would add this mysterious, and supernatural feels. Anyway, I did not encountered any bugs. some features of the game is just a little bit confusing like the inspect mode and such. but, I really loved the game :)

p.s game starts at 13:44

Thank you for your feedback!

We agree with you there in the atmosphere part. We only got around to implementing sounds near the very end of the project and some aspects of it really do feel unfinished in this prototype. That's one of the things we're looking to improve in the future.

(+1)

Thank you for playing and for making a video out of it!!

Yeah, the atmosphere part, was kinda rushed because we “ran out of time” and our deadline was really close. Like my colleague said, the atmosphere is something we will work on when we continue development.

Thank you for your feedback! It will help us make this game better.

One of the best games I've ever played! Go to my favorites! 🎈💖

Thanks! We are glad you enjoyed it so much :D

Thank you!

(+1)

Well that was confusing but also a very fun experience...

Thank you for playing! Some people got a little stuck as well, It’s something we will take into account when updating the game.

Also, thank you for making a video out of it! It helps to see what we did wrong, and it’s fun to see people’s reactions while playing!

STOP TALKING AND TAKE MY UP VOTE >:D

Thanks!

Hello. is this comment section not here anymore

I loved this game so much. Definetly one of my favourites that I've played on this.

I will admit, though, I did have to double check that this wasn't a phycological horror after first loading the game. (This might just be because I played one and now all my reccommended games are horror).

I see many people complaining about where the black lamp was hidden, but I found it near-instantly! I don't see a problem with where it was hidden.

It did take me a while to realise the books were moving the statue, though. Not really a problem, moreso me being stupid, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. And even after that I was unsure what it opened- but, again, more me being stupid than the game design.

I don't think I can stress enough how much I love this game, either way. The puzzles were great, the concept iself was great, and the little information we got from the first VHS tape was really interesting.
I loved some of the little details on the neighboring houses when going from the past to the present. It seems like you thought of everything!

I didn't personally get any bugs in my playthrough. I just got love for this game.

And, as many others have said, if/when there's a full version of this, if it costs money you bet I'll be giving it!
I wish you the best of luck in future <3

Thank you so much! For the praise and feedback from your experience. I'm glad you liked it.

Oh also, we're sorry about the horror game vibes ahah

(+1)

People seemed to be really interested in the game when I played it, they suggested that i should play the full game but Idk if it's been released yet or if there's any way I could play it, I was super interested in the concept and got really excited by the time I got to the end of the demo lol. I can't wait for more :D
Let me know if theres any way I could play the full game or if you have plans for finishing it soon. Unless its already been released and I'm just blind haha

If you're interested in the gameplay and thoughts here's where I played it ->

Thank you! We’re glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for giving us your feedback!

And like my colleague said, sorry for the horror vibes. That was something we tried to avoid during development, but we didn’t do a good job at that haha.

I don't know where to do a bug report, and there doesn't appear to be a place to do so. So im just gonna do it here. The bugs are mostly minor, but there's one that blocks progression unless you pull out a walkthrough from YouTube.

TV wont play.
I cannot get the TV to play. The subtitles are there, but no video whatsoever. I redownloaded it a few times, but it just won't work. From what i saw, the TV is also supposed to be playing in the past. For me, it does not. The remote indicates that it is supposed to be playing. But it simply does not.

Settings keep resetting
Settings on the menu doesn't appear to sync up with the one in game. Changing the settings on the main menu, and entering the game causes it to reset to the default settings. And vice-versa.

Unable to quit
This might simply be a problem with my computer. But pressing Quit to Desktop causes the game to freeze and doesn't quit properly. I have to pull out a task manager to end it by force.

Cannot pause the game on combination mode
I don't know if this is intentional or not, but i assume it's most likely not.

That is all i can find because i cannot get past the first area. I assume the clue might be on the video. But then again, i cannot get it to work. I understand that this is only a demo and i wish things would be better on release. Neat concept btw.

That TV one is weird, I know that there are some associated bugs with the video player in Unity but you're the first to tell us this. You're also the only one that apparently got that quitting bug, so I'm not sure what's wrong there.  All the other bugs we're aware of, the pause one was actually intentional but it can be changed.

Thank you for this, regardless, and I'm sorry you didn't get to experience the full thing yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to give us such a detailed feedback!

You’re the first one to have the TV and the unable to quit problems and we will look into it. The “unable to quit” bug was actually intentional, I believe we did it like that because pausing during the combination mode breaks the game.

Nice concept and puzzles, really, but could use an optimization pass. It's low poly and somehow it still managed to drop frames on my above-average computer

(1 edit) (+1)

Thanks! About the optimization, this is most likely because we didn't bake the lights on this project. It's definitely a must and will be included in the final version, making it lighter.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! As my colleague said, we will optimize the game in the final version.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
